Day 2 | 17 Oct | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Presentation + Q&A
About the topic:
Description: Form selection is one of the most aggressively marketed variables in practitioner-grade supplementation, and one of the least understood. Practitioners are told that specific forms of popular ingredients are better absorbed, more bioavailable, or more targeted to specific tissues, with the implication that choosing the right form is the difference between clinical success and failure.
This session pressure-tests those claims against current pharmacokinetic and clinical evidence. For some ingredients, preliminary data on specific forms is promising, but the human evidence remains an active area of investigation. For others, the gap between marketing and substantiation is wider than practitioners may realize. But that's not the end of the story.
The session then turns to the compound class where physical form is genuinely rate-limiting: poorly soluble and poorly permeable bioactives where dissolution and absorption are the bottleneck, where PK data clearly demonstrates form-dependent plasma concentrations, and where most practitioners have never thought to ask the right questions. Attendees will leave with a practical framework for identifying when form selection is a real clinical variable and when it's a marketing variable, applicable to any ingredient and any product on their shelf.

(MOA), a health innovation platform advancing bioactive compound discovery, formulation development, clinical research, and commercial access for nutritional supplements. At MOA, he helps lead the development of novel solid-form delivery technologies engineered to improve the stability, absorption, and performance of supplement ingredients, alongside a portfolio of clinical and discovery partnerships.
Dr. Wallace brings more than 10 years of experience spanning discovery research, product development, clinical research, regulatory strategy, and scientific communication. He has held scientific and discovery roles at major nutritional supplement companies such as Life Extension. Across his career, he has overseen the development of more than 60 products and led numerous successful regulatory audits across the FDA and other governing bodies. He has authored peer-reviewed publications, scientific abstracts, and technical white papers.
Dr. Wallace holds a PhD in Health and Human Performance with a focus on Nutritional Sciences. He serves on the Medical Advisory Board of XYMOGEN and advises additional supplement companies across international markets, drawing on expertise in formulation and regulatory requirements across global regulatory environments. He is a featured speaker at the 2026 XYMOGEN Xperience and the creator and host of The Active Site podcast, delivering educational content on dietary supplements and formulation science.
